Longboard!!

I have wanted to learn how to longboard for a long time.  I'm one of the biggest klutz's around, so I imagine that I will break something soon, but for now, I am pretty excited that my new longboard came in the mail!

It is getting colder here in Utah, so who knows how much I will actually be able to practice between now and the Spring.  Either way, I'm one step closer to my goal of learning how to ride this thing!!

TAGGED!

This is a fun one I have never done or seen before. My sister, Brooke, tagged me and the rule is, you have to post the 4th picture in your 4th folder in your pictures folder. Then give a brief description before tagging a few more of your friends. Here's mine:

This picture makes me laugh...it's Boston eating ice cream...I think he's probably about 2 here?  He still gets just about this messy when eating ice cream.  Love this kid!!

Okay, I tag Amanda, Cassie, and Amber!

Party Time!

So it's Robby's (my cousin and one of my best friends) birthday today.  Last night, we had a party at my house for him...and we needed some treats.  So my friend Rafe and I made 100 mini cupcakes to serve the masses.  It was actually lots of fun and ended up being an easy treat at the party. I mean, who doesn't love cupcakes.  Plus, I just left them out on the counter and people could come grab them at their leisure.

We had a fun time...Happy Birthday, Robby Rob.  Looks like the party isn't about to end anytime soon :)

And Happy Birthday to Michelle today, too!  Turns out some of my very favorite people were born on September 15!

Sewing Class

So I started a sewing class last night.  I have made it to almost 28 years old and don't know how to sew.   Not even a button.  So I've decided to take charge and learn!

I signed up for classes at a place called, "The Finishing School"...they teach domestic skills.  So I am taking beginning sewing.  It's a 6-week course...and as of last night, I now know how to thread a sewing machine, sew straight and zig-zag lines, and use the serger machine.  Look out Martha Stewart!

And as a fun side note, Mindy (my sis-in-law) was in town last night and so she came with me to the first class.  Fun to have her with me!

So...next week I learn how to make a pillow case.  Hope my family is excited about pillow cases for Christmas :)

NBA Night at Ruth's Chris

So on Friday night, we went to Ruth's Chris for Tyler (and Dave's) graduation dinner.  We were seated at a table right next to Kyle Korver (BBall player for the Utah Jazz)...and he was there with his brother, his parents, and his grandparents (we think...from what we could assess).  It was fun to see him somewhere else besides at the games.

And then a little while into our meal, Yao Ming walked into the restaurant, too.  It was nuts to really see how tall he is...it was nuts!!!

Then, when Korver was leaving, I asked him if Mindy and I could get a pic with him...so we did :)

BUT...the most important thing was that Ty and Dave graduated from BYU and I am so proud of both of them!!!

Cowgirl Up!

I'm visiting Kentucky this week for Easter and loving spending time with my family!

My niece, Tyler, thinks its fun to dress up in my clothes. And you can see from the picture that the boots fit perfect. She's a Kentucky girl!

SWEET Love

So in Holladay, they have recently opened a cupcake shop (seriously, such a grand idea!)...it's called 'So Cupcake' and they pretty much only sell cupcakes.  One of my raddest friends, Grimmy, got me some for Valentine's day.  So I thought I would share the loveliness with you.
First of all, they came in this cardboard box (for some reason I really love cardboard boxes with fun stuff in them, such as flowers or cupcakes). Then, when you open them up, there is just sugary goodness.

I need to get some friends over here quick to eat some of these...otherwise, I think I will probably gain about 10 lbs eating them.  Long live cupcakes!

Happy Valentine's Day!
